The Photographer
I
am a junior in Winthrop House concentrating in government.
I was born in Bulgaria in 1984, and I spent the first twenty
years of my life in my home town Haskovo. I graduated from
Prof.Dr.Assen Zlatarov Foreign Language School in 2003, and
then came to the United States to pursue a degree in political
theory and international relations. Before I developed an
interest in photography, I played basketball for the local
town team, but an injury precluded my further growth in the
sport. My engagement with the kids living in the orphanage
began five years ago. After the untimely death of my sister
in 2000, I started doing community work in an attempt to
direct the attention of the community to the problems of
those in need. The photo exhibit eyes.of.grief will
not be the first fundraising campaign I do for the institution,
but hopefully it will be as productive as the previous events
I have organized for my little friends.
